Last year over 35,000 people attended Library exhibits and events sponsored by Friends.   These included lectures, author readings, films, panel discussion, exhibits, and much, much more.

Friends sponsors events that help energize our Main Library and twenty-six neighborhood branches.  These events entertain people of all ages from all across San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.

Each year, over 35,000 visitors attend events that provoke thought, inform and educate.  These include author readings, lectures, films, panel discussions and much, much more.  And thanks to Friends support of museum-quality exhibitions, the San Francisco Public Library is the only free cultural institution in the City.

Visit the SFPL events page for a complete list of current and upcoming events. Or visit the Friends event calendar to see a highlight of Friends sponsored events at the SFPL.
